Temporary anchorage for workers who work on houses with sloping roofs, 310 lb max

Peakworks brand temporary roof anchor connector. The maximum weight of the worker who can use this anchor is 310 lb (141 kg), including clothing, tools, etc. Sold individually.

Peakworks manufacturer code: V8229001, model: RB-9701. Complies with CSA Z259.15 and ANSI Z359.18 standards. Designed to resist static forces of 5000 lb (22 KN).

According to the manufacturer, this anchor must be installed on structural parts of the sloped roof, it can be placed directly on the wood or on the sheet metal covering the wood. It is indicated to use 8 x 3 ½" 16 d nails to secure it. Do not install too close to the end of the roof. At the end of the work, it can remain on the roof but the attachment ring must be folded up to make it unusable and the whole thing covered with shingles.

About the anchor point:

The anchor point should preferably be located above the level of the harness back ring and should be positioned vertically to the user. The worker should remain below the anchor point so that he/she remains within a perimeter of no more than a 45 degree angle.

It is important that the user be aware of the risks of a possible fall. Among other things, is there a sufficient distance below the worker that is free of obstacles? Are there emergency measures in place to quickly recover the worker? Can the anchor point withstand a force of 5000 lb? For more information, consult the manufacturer's manual.
Any equipment that is subject to a fall or impact must be taken out of service.
