This sign is based on the model published by the Québec Ministère de la Santé et des Services sociaux.

This sign is available in two materials: aluminium and adhesive window decal. Aluminium (0.040" thick, 18 gauge) is recommended for displaying the sign outdoors, while the window decal can be displayed from indoors facing outdoors, minimizing the risk of vandalism.

In the Province of Québec, the Tobacco Control Act states in section 2.2 that “smoking is prohibited outdoors within a nine-meter radius from any door, air vent or openable window communicating with [most places referred to in section 2].” This sign allows quick identification of the prohibited smoking areas and invites to compliance with the law.
