Primary filter for the HEPA-AIRE® (SAH5)or any other model of air scrubber which requires a 18 in X 24 in X 0.5 in filters. Sold by the pack of 50 filters.
This first stage filter captures the 10 µm and the coarsest particles such as pollen, spray paint dust, textiles fibers, carpet fibers, etc. This filter is the first stage of an air scrubber’s filtration system. It has been designed to capture the biggest particles and to let the smaller travel through to be filtered by the following filters. It is recommended to replace the primary filter every 8 to 72 hours depending on the concentrations in which the contaminants are found or whenever the machine emits a signal.
This electrostatic charged fiberglass filter is disposable and has been designed to extend the life of the second stage filter and the HEPA filter.
This filter has MERV 4 rating (Minimum Efficiency Reporting Value) according to the measuring scale to rate the effectiveness of air filters set by the ASHRAE (American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air Condition). A rate 4 means the effectiveness of this filter turns around the capture of 75% of the particles 10 µm or bigger.
