The Pioneer® "The Rock" model 5629 waterproof bib pants, in high-visibility yellow, protect the legs of demanding professionals exposed to rain and traffic. Made of 100% polyester woven in an oxford pattern with 300-denier yarns coated with polyurethane, they comply with the ANSI/ISEA 107-2020 type E and CSA Z96-22 class 2 level 2 standards (class 3 when worn with the matching VP5628 jacket). Ideal for construction, utilities or forestry. Available in sizes from small (S) to quintuple extra-large (5XL) via the drop-down menu above. Pioneer® manufacturer code: V1082360, model 5629. Design of The Rock bib pants with suspenders and adjustments
These bib pants are made of polyester woven in an oxford pattern with 300-denier yarns and a polyurethane coating, ensuring waterproofing and wind resistance. Their seams are taped and heat-sealed. Fitted with premium StarTech® reflective stripes, they increase your visibility in low light. They include side waist adjustments, quick-release buckle suspenders and leg hems with two snaps for a better fit.
Oxford 300D polyurethane waterproofing of the Pioneer bib pants
The polyurethane-laminated polyester oxford bib pants are made with 300-denier yarns, giving them a medium weight: light enough for comfort, sturdy enough for adequate protection. The manufacturer does not disclose the exact hydrostatic resistance; compared with similar products, it is estimated at around 5000 mm, i.e. resistance to a 5 m water column. During torrential rain with strong winds, polyurethane may become saturated and lose its waterproofing.
ANSI 107 and CSA Z96 high-visibility classification of the yellow bib pants
CSA Z96-22 class 2 level 2: high-visibility safety garment for workers operating near road traffic with a maximum speed of 80 km/h (low to moderate risk). Worn with the complementary VP5628 jacket, the set reaches class 3 level 2, extending compliance in the presence of faster vehicles.
ANSI/ISEA 107-2020 type E: type E designates a high-visibility safety garment that, worn alone, does not meet the requirements of a single class; combined with the VP5628 jacket, the set reaches class R. The reflective stripes are visible from over 250 metres.
Visibility of fluorescent yellow and silver stripes
Fluorescent yellow (safety lime-green) is highly visible in daylight and in low natural light (dawn, dusk), offering high contrast against the background. Paler than orange, it is slightly more visible at night, though not as visible as the reflective stripes in darkness. The silver retroreflective stripes return light toward its source (flashlight, vehicle headlights, etc.) and provide maximum safety at dawn, dusk and at night, without increasing visibility in full daylight.
