The VV56 is an insulated winter coat designed to keep the flagperson warm during long working days in cold weather. Its fluorescent orange collar adds an extra point of contrast that helps recognition of the silhouette. Its cut preserves good freedom of movement despite the layers of clothing worn in winter.
The coat features silver StarTech bands of 50 mm (2 inches) alternated with fluorescent orange bands. It includes two vertical bands at the front, two bands arranged in an X at the back, three horizontal bands at the waist and three bands around the wrists. This configuration faithfully meets the silhouette outline requirement for a road flagperson.
The VV56 complies with the Transports Quebec standard (December 2014, Volume V - Road Signage, paragraph 4.34.1 / P4.34.1). Worn alone, it meets the CSA Z96-15 class 2 standard ; combined with high visibility pants, it forms a class 3 ensemble.
