Silver Shield® ambidextrous, powder-free and non-allergenic gloves, 2.7 mils thick, for chemical protection. Sold by the pair.
These laminated Norfoil gloves consist of 5 layers of polyethylene (PE) and ethylene-vinyl alcohol (EVOH), a material resistant to over 280 different chemicals, including alcohols, acetone, benzene, chlorine, ketones, epoxy esters, methanol, methyl ethyl ketone, sodium hydroxide, sulphuric acid (96%), toluene and trichloroethylene.
These laminated gloves meet EN420 (general requirements for protective gloves), EN374 (permeability and protection time against chemical and infectious agents) and EN388 (mechanical risks: abrasion, cutting, tearing, puncture). They also meet ASTM D3389-05 (abrasion) and ASTM F1790-97 (cutting). The "chemical resistant" pictogram carries the AHL code, indicating ≥ 30 minutes of protection against methanol (A), tetrahydrofuran (H) and sulphuric acid 96% (L).
These gloves may be used when handling micro-organisms, as they are designed to protect against infectious materials (WHMIS class D); the biohazard pictogram appears on the packaging. They are ideal for the furniture industry, chemical industry, laboratories and emergency services, and also serve as a protective liner under mechanical-protection gloves.
This glove is for single use and should never be reused. Dry your hands before donning and wash them right after removal. Check the glove's integrity before each use, since a punctured chemical glove loses its protection.
