No returnable if used. For more information about our return policy, please refer to the Orders and Returns.
The 3M 2097 P100 dust and low-concentration organic vapor respirator are designed for professionals exposed to multiple contaminants in industrial, chemical, or processing environments. Thanks to its advanced electrostatic membrane (AEM) and integrated activated carbon, it effectively blocks solid particles, oily aerosols, and certain low-concentration organic vapors. This filter is ideal for welding, cutting, brazing, and handling solvents or chemical products.
High-performance respiratory protection for industrial settings.
The 3M 2097 respiratory filter is P100-certified according to NIOSH standard 42 CFR 84. It is sold in pairs and packaged in boxes of 50 pairs. Its patented electrostatic membrane ensures 99.97% filtration of solid and liquid particles, while its activated carbon provides protection against low concentrations of organic vapors. It is compatible with masks from the 6000, 7000, 7500, FF-400, and Ultimate FX series.
The P100 2097 filter installs easily on the side connectors of 3M respirator masks. It can be used with the 3M R502 adapter for cartridge configurations. It is essential to check the mask fit to ensure a perfect seal. This filter must not be used if the wearer has a beard or any condition preventing direct contact between the mask and the skin.
This type of filter protects against certain metal vapors emitted during welding, brazing, cutting, and other heat-related metal activities. It also protects against organic vapors as long as their concentration does not exceed the limit set by CNESST. Additionally, it offers protection against ozone concentrations up to 10 times the permissible exposure limit set by regulatory authorities (CNESST). They offer protection against solid particles released during mineral processing, iron ore handling, coal, flour, or certain other substances. They are also effective against liquid particles from oily aerosols that do not emit harmful vapors. These filters are effective against liquid particles from oily aerosols emitting a harmful concentration of organic vapors. They also protect against other organic vapors, such as those released by alcohols, solvents, and fuels. This type of filter must not be used on a mask in an environment exceeding a concentration greater than 10 times the permissible exposure limit set by CNESST.
These filters may help reduce inhalation exposure to certain airborne biological particles, such as mold, Bacillus anthracis (anthrax), Mycobacterium tuberculosis (Koch’s bacillus) responsible for tuberculosis, pandemic flu strains (H5N1, H1N1), etc. However, they cannot completely eliminate the risk of infection, illness, or disease. Due to the nature of certain biological contaminants, government agencies have not been able to determine exposure limits for all types of contaminants.
Do not use if the wearer has a beard or suffers from a condition likely to prevent direct contact between the edge of the mask and the face. These filters are not recommended in the presence of concentrations exceeding the permissible limits of gases and vapors. Do not use when particles are released during sandblasting and aerosol concentrations exceed 10 times the permissible exposure limit set by CNESST or any other applicable government regulation. These respiratory protection filters must only be used in areas that do not present an oxygen deficiency risk.
The filters are disposable and therefore require no maintenance. They are designed with an estimated lifespan of 40 hours or 30 days. These figures are for informational purposes only and should not be the sole tool for estimating the lifespan of your filters. Since each work environment is different, it is important to strictly follow the limits established by the manufacturer.
Use the P100 filter model 2097 only in environments where the concentration of contaminants does not exceed 10 times the permissible exposure limit according to CNESST. This filter is not suitable for oxygen-deficient atmospheres or high concentrations of gases or vapors. It is not recommended for sandblasting operations or environments heavily loaded with aerosols. For maximum effectiveness, pair this filter with a full-face or half-mask respirator that fits properly.
No, it is designed for low concentrations of organic vapors. It must not be used if levels exceed the permissible limits set by CNESST.
Yes, it can reduce exposure to certain airborne biological particles, but it does not guarantee complete protection against infections.
This filter is compatible with masks from the 6000, 7000, 7500, FF-400, and Ultimate FX series. It is not suitable for masks without standard side connectors.
