The 3M Quick Latch half face respirator is designed to meet the needs of workers exposed to hazardous substances. Made of silicone and nylon, it provides excellent sealing while ensuring long-lasting comfort. Its low-profile design allows for better compatibility with other personal protective equipment. This mask is compatible with filters from the 2000, 2200, 5000, and 7000 series, as well as cartridges from the 6000 series and combined P100 cartridges. NIOSH approved. Cartridges and filters are sold separately. This product code corresponds to the small-size half face respirator.
The half-face respirator is available in several sizes:
Performance, safety, and comfort every day.
This model stands out for its Quick Latch mechanism, which allows the temporary removal of the mask without taking off the head harness. This feature is especially useful for workers wearing a safety helmet. It is also equipped with a Cool Flow exhalation valve, which facilitates breathing and reduces heat and moisture buildup. The mask contains no natural rubber latex, making it suitable for sensitive individuals.
Installing the Quick Latch half face respirator is intuitive. Simply position the mask on the face, adjust the elastic straps made of spandex and polyester, then attach the appropriate cartridges or filters. The Quick Latch system allows the mask to be released quickly without removing the headband, simplifying transitions between work and break periods.
This type of respiratory protection mask is recommended for tasks that release solid and liquid particles (aerosols) into the air or for work in environments where there are contaminants and/or biological particles in the air. Of course, the filtration system must be adapted with the correct filters or cartridges to ensure adequate protection.
It is not recommended to use a respiratory protection mask when facial hair is visible. Indeed, facial hair or any other condition that prevents direct contact between the mask edge and the face may compromise worker safety by not providing full protection. Do not use if you suffer from a respiratory illness such as asthma or emphysema. Do not use during sandblasting work or in areas where aerosol concentrations exceed 10 times the permissible exposure limit set by CNESST or any other applicable government regulation. This respiratory protection mask should only be used in areas that do not present an oxygen deficiency risk.
This mask is reusable provided it is maintained and stored according to guidelines. 3M recommends always inspecting the mask before use, cleaning it after use, and storing it in its packaging when not in use. During cleaning, it is important not to use solvents, as they may weaken certain mask components, affecting its effectiveness. Cartridges or filters must always be removed after use. Sylprotec considers this respiratory protection mask more difficult to disassemble compared to masks from the 7500 series. It is therefore harder to maintain. If you need to wear a mask frequently, opt for a 7500 series mask.
Use this mask in environments where solid, liquid, or biological particles are present. Choose filters suited to your exposure and ensure the mask is properly fitted. This model is especially recommended for painting, welding, sanding, industrial cleaning, or handling chemical products. It is not recommended for use with facial hair or respiratory conditions such as asthma or emphysema.
