Hi-viz fluorescent yellow traffic sash certified CSA Z96-15 class 1 level 2
This high-visibility traffic sash made of lined polyester knit is designed for workers who must wear certified gear. Compliant with the Canadian CSA Z96-15 standard, class 1 level 2 and the American ANSI/ISEA 107-15 standard, class 1 type O, it delivers reliable visibility in daylight and at dusk. Made by Pioneer (item 5492 in large, 5493 in XL), it is ideal for roadwork signalling, worksites and any environment where compliance is required. Lined polyester knit construction with 10 cm straps
The 4" (10 cm) wide fluorescent yellow straps feature a 2" (5 cm) StarTech retroreflective stripe at the center. The fabric is lined for added durability. The layout includes 2 vertical straps in front, one horizontal chest strap, 2 straps crossing in an X-shape in the back and one horizontal strap around the waist. The sash closes at the front with two-position Velcro; it is neither elastic nor adjustable. The horizontal chest strap attaches with Velcro and is fully removable.
Visibility of fluorescent yellow and grey retroreflective stripes
Fluorescent yellow (also called lime green) is highly visible in daylight and in low natural-light conditions such as dawn and dusk, and provides high contrast against most backgrounds. Being paler than orange, it remains clearly visible in the evening. The silver-grey retroreflective stripes return light toward its source (flashlight, headlights): they offer maximum safety at dawn, dusk and night, but do not increase visibility in broad daylight.
Choosing between the yellow VV21 sash and other Sylprotec models
This model is also available in fluorescent orange (item VV22), preferable in environments with strong artificial lighting. If you do not need CSA certification, the economical VV20 version is a more affordable alternative.

Which standards do these sashes meet?
They comply with the Canadian CSA Z96-15 class 1 level 2 standard and the American ANSI/ISEA 107-15 class 1 type O standard.
Which sizes are available?
Two sizes: large and XL. Select your size in the drop-down menu. The sash is not adjustable.
How does it close?
At the front, with Velcro offering two closing positions. The horizontal chest strap also attaches with Velcro and is fully removable.
What is the difference with the orange VV22 version?
Construction and standards are identical; only the color changes. Fluorescent yellow is more visible in low natural light, orange (VV22) in strong artificial light.
Are they elastic?
No. They are made of lined polyester knit, non-elastic and non-adjustable, for better durability and compliance.
