Economical and rugged, this high-visibility fluorescent yellow surveyor vest is designed for workers exposed to road traffic and worksites. Its front panel in 300 denier Oxford twill polyester, breathable and tear-resistant, is paired with a polyester mesh back for added comfort. Compliant with the Canadian CSA Z96-22 standard, class 2 level 2 and the American ANSI/ISEA 107-2020 class 2, type P and R standard, it delivers high visibility day and night thanks to StarTech retroreflective stripes. Made by Pioneer (manufacturer code 101026O, model 6673), available in sizes from S to 6XL (drop-down menu). Also available in a high-visibility orange version (V6672) and a low-visibility black version (V6671).
The front panel in 300 denier Oxford twill polyester resists tears while staying breathable, while the mesh back panel promotes airflow. The vest features silver StarTech retroreflective stripes with fluorescent orange borders, in a configuration of 2 vertical stripes in front, 2 stripes crossing in an X on the back and 1 horizontal stripe at the waist. It closes with a heavy-duty zipper and includes a back opening for the D-ring of a safety harness, 2 grey shoulder straps for tools, ID or radios, and 4 eyelets for a tape dispenser or small tools.
This vest offers 12 pockets built for field work. On the front: 2 pockets on the right side (one for ID with a clear window, one lower pocket for a cell phone), 2 lower flap pockets, 4 small pencil slots and 3 inner pockets including one with a grey strap. On the back: 1 large full-width zippered pocket. Enough storage to carry essential surveying tools while keeping your hands free.
Fluorescent yellow (lime green) is highly visible in daylight and in low natural light (dawn, dusk), with high contrast against most backgrounds; being paler than orange, it stays visible at night, though not as much as the reflective stripes. The silver retroreflective stripes return light toward its source (flashlight, headlights) and offer maximum safety at dawn, dusk and night, without increasing daytime visibility. Class 2 targets workers operating near road traffic (maximum speed 80 km/h, low to moderate risk). Type R (Roadway) covers workers exposed to road traffic (construction, road maintenance) and type P (Public Safety) covers first responders (firefighters, police).
Application: work on roadways, roads and worksites, to be seen by drivers and vehicle operators. Restriction: this vest does not protect against flames or electric arcs; do not bleach, iron or dry-clean. Care: hand wash in cold water with mild detergent, inside out to reduce abrasion, no bleach, softener or dryer; replace the vest if torn, soiled or worn.
It complies with the Canadian CSA Z96-22 standard, class 2 level 2, and the American ANSI/ISEA 107-2020 standard, class 2, type P and R.
12 pockets: on the front (ID pocket with window, cell-phone lower pocket, flap pockets, pencil slots and inner pockets) and on the back (large full-width zippered pocket).
