The Act respecting occupational health and safety, in particular section 51, requires employers to take the necessary measures to protect the health, safety and physical integrity of workers in the workplace. Although the posting of safety signs is not mandatory in many cases, it is strongly recommended to indicate each potential source of danger. Self-adhesive vinyl signs can be used indoors and outdoors, but are much more durable indoors.

• If your poster is made of self-adhesive vinyl, make sure it is securely fastened to a clean, smooth surface to avoid premature peeling.
• For plastic or aluminum versions, periodically check the condition of fasteners (screws, rivets, adhesives) to keep them visible and secure.
