Manufacturer 3M, reference 8576
The 3M 8576 P95 respirator mask is designed to effectively filter airborne particles, including oily particulates and low concentrations of acid gases such as sulfur dioxide. Thanks to its Cool Flow™ exhalation valve, it reduces heat and moisture buildup, offering optimal respiratory comfort. This disposable mask is certified under NIOSH 42 CFR 84, ensuring superior filtration in complex industrial environments. The straps are stapled to the respirator. The seal is ensured by the adjustable nose clip, rubber face seal, and elastic straps whose tension can be adjusted within their respective loops. This allows the worker to achieve a better seal without compromising comfort. Additionally, the enlarged contact surface with the face provides greater stability and maintains the seal during movement. Made in the USA.
Enhanced protection against acid gases and oily particles.
This mask is designed for long-duration tasks in hot and humid environments. It is effective against liquid particles from oily aerosols that emit harmful concentrations of acid gases such as sulfur dioxide, hydrogen fluoride, and/or chlorine. It is ideal for glass etching, chemical processing, paper treatment, aluminum smelting, and brewing operations, as these tasks may generate low concentrations of acid gases. It can be used in environments with low-intensity acid gases. NIOSH-approved masks (N95, N100, R95, R100, P95, and P100) offer sufficient protection against silica, the second leading cause of chronic respiratory problems after asbestos.
This respirator helps reduce inhalation exposure to certain airborne biological particles, such as mold, Bacillus anthracis (anthrax), Mycobacterium tuberculosis (Koch’s bacillus) responsible for tuberculosis, and pandemic flu strains (H5N1, H1N1). However, it cannot completely eliminate the risk of infection, illness, or disease. Due to the nature of certain biological contaminants, government agencies have not established exposure limits for all types.
The 8576 mask stands out for its ability to filter oily particles and acid gases, while offering easier breathing thanks to the Cool Flow™ valve. It is lightweight, stable, and designed for extended use in hot and humid conditions. Its structure allows optimal compatibility with personal protective equipment.
To properly install the 8576 P95 mask, position it over the nose and mouth, then adjust the elastic straps behind the head. Ensure the mask edges conform to the face contours. Perform a seal test to ensure effective respiratory protection against oily particles and acid gases.
This product is disposable and requires no maintenance. It is designed with an estimated lifespan of 40 hours or 30 days, whichever comes first. These figures are for informational purposes only and should not be the sole tool for estimating mask life. Since each work environment is different, it is important to follow the manufacturer’s guidelines.
Use this P95 disposable mask in industrial environments where oily particles and acid gases are present, such as chemical plants, metal processing sites, or disinfection zones. Do not use this mask in atmospheres containing less than 19.5% oxygen or in the presence of toxic gases that cannot be filtered by disposable masks.
Do not use if the wearer has a beard or a condition that prevents direct contact between the mask edge and the face. Do not use if you suffer from a respiratory illness such as asthma or emphysema. Avoid using this mask when handling spray paint, oil-based aerosols, gases, vapors, asbestos, particles released during sandblasting, or aerosol concentrations exceeding 10 times the permissible exposure limit set by CNESST or other applicable regulations. This respirator mask should only be used in areas without oxygen deficiency risks. When properly fitted and the qualitative seal test is successful, this respirator meets ANSI Z92.2-1992 standards, providing a protection factor of 10. Therefore, the worker may be exposed to certain airborne contaminants at concentrations up to 10 times the established exposure limit. Contact our customer service for further details if needed.
