It is ideal for glass etching, chemical processing, paper treatment, aluminum smelting, and brewing operations, as these tasks may generate low concentrations of acid gases. It can be used in environments with low-intensity acid gases. NIOSH-approved masks (N95, N100, R95, R100, P95, and P100) offer sufficient protection against silica, the second leading cause of chronic respiratory problems after asbestos.

This respirator helps reduce inhalation exposure to certain airborne biological particles, such as mold, Bacillus anthracis (anthrax), Mycobacterium tuberculosis (Koch’s bacillus) responsible for tuberculosis, and pandemic flu strains (H5N1, H1N1). Avoid using this mask when handling spray paint, oil-based aerosols, gases, vapors, asbestos, particles released during sandblasting, or aerosol concentrations exceeding 10 times the permissible exposure limit set by CNESST or other applicable regulations. This respirator mask should only be used in areas without oxygen deficiency risks. When properly fitted and the qualitative seal test is successful, this respirator meets ANSI Z92.2-1992 standards, providing a protection factor of 10.
