The DuPont™ Tyvek® 400 (TY120S) disposable coverall is the open-collar, no-hood model of the range : light, economical Type 5 and 6 protection against airborne dry particles and light splashes of non-hazardous liquids. Made of DuPont’s unique high-density polyethylene Tyvek® fabric, it combines a solid barrier with comfort and excellent resistance to abrasion, puncture and tearing. It is the versatile choice for asbestos abatement, painting, industrial maintenance and dirty work. Sold by the case of 25 units, in sizes M to 3XL. Manufacturer code : TY120S.
Tyvek® is a unique DuPont fabric made of flash-spun high-density polyethylene fibres. Its microporous structure forms a real barrier against most airborne dry particles (down to 1 micron) while letting heat and water vapour pass through for better comfort. It is low-lint and releases few particles, making it suitable for environments where cleanliness matters.
Unlike hooded models, the TY120S has an open collar (no hood), leaving the head free : ideal when a hard hat or a separate hood is preferred. It offers a front zipper, elastic wrists and ankles for a good fit, an elasticated waist and tight-bound seams that limit dust entry. Light and flexible, it is easily worn over work clothing.
The TY120S suits asbestos abatement, painting and spraying, industrial maintenance, handling of powders and pigments, cleaning, food processing and any dirty task requiring disposable protection against dry particles. Its Type 5 (particles) and Type 6 (light splashes) barrier covers a wide range of common industrial uses.
This coverall does not protect against aggressive liquid chemicals, pressurized sprays or gases : for those hazards, choose a Tychem® coverall. It is not flame-resistant and must not be used near flame, sparks or intense heat. It is a single-use item.
The TY120S coverall is disposable, single-use : it cannot be washed or reused. Replace it as soon as it is soiled, torn or contaminated, and dispose of it according to applicable regulations (notably for asbestos waste). Store it dry, away from light and heat.
No. The TY120S is the open-collar, no-hood model. If you need a hood, see the TY127SWH version, or the TY122SWH which also adds boot covers.
This coverall is available in sizes M to 3XL, sold by the case of 25 units.
