Reliable hearing protection for high-noise environments. 3M™ E-A-Rsoft™ Yellow Neons™ corded earplugs are designed to reduce exposure to hazardous noise levels in the workplace. Made from soft, disposable foam and offered in a regular size, they combine comfort, high visibility, and ease of use. The integrated cord is a practical feature that keeps the earplugs close at hand between uses.
These earplugs are ideal for industrial settings, workshops, maintenance zones, construction sites, and any environment where noise levels can become harmful. The slow-recovery foam ensures a soft and comfortable fit, while the neon yellow color makes compliance checks quick and easy. The corded design is specifically beneficial for workers who need to frequently insert and remove their earplugs throughout the day.
Corded earplugs are particularly useful for workers who are constantly on the move or alternating between loud and quiet zones. The cord allows the user to hang the plugs around their neck, preventing loss and reducing the need for constant handling. These earplugs are individually packaged in polybags and sold in cases of 200 pairs, making them a cost-effective choice for large-scale operations or high-volume teams.

The attenuation level for the 3M™ E-A-Rsoft™ Yellow Neons™ earplugs is among the highest available for foam earplugs on the market.
Here are the official ratings:
NRR (Noise Reduction Rating): 33 dB (certified according to EPA standards in the USA).
SNR (Single Number Rating): 36 dB (according to European standards).
The 33 dB NRR is currently the highest certified noise reduction rating for earplugs. This makes them extremely effective for very high-noise environments, such as manufacturing plants, jet engines, pneumatic tools, and construction sites.
It is important to remember that the actual attenuation achieved in the field depends entirely on the insertion technique:
Roll: Roll the earplug firmly between your fingers into a very thin, crease-free cylinder.
Pull: Reach over your head with the opposite hand and pull the top of your ear upward and backward to straighten the ear canal.
Insert: Insert the plug and hold it with your fingertip for about 10 to 15 seconds while it expands to create a perfect seal.
Note: If the earplug is simply "pushed" into the ear without being rolled first, the real-world attenuation level can drop by more than 50%, leaving you at risk for noise-induced hearing loss.
The cord keeps the earplugs together and allows them to hang around the neck when not in use. This makes them much easier to manage for workers who must frequently take their hearing protection on and off.
They are suitable for any noisy environment requiring hearing protection, including manufacturing, construction, automotive workshops, and maintenance areas.
Disposable foam is preferred for its simplicity, hygiene, and comfort. It provides a customized fit as the foam expands in the ear canal and is easy to replace at the end of a shift.
The regular size is a standard fit designed to accommodate most users comfortably while providing a high level of noise attenuation.
