Is this cap CSA approved?
No. The TA88 is a lightweight bump cap not approved by CSA: it protects against minor impacts but does not offer the protection of a certified safety helmet (type 1/type 2) nor electrical protection. For a jobsite or environment requiring a rated hard hat, choose a CSA-certified model.
What is a bump cap used for?
It protects the head against minor bumps against fixed objects (protrusions, low edges). It is ideal for food processing, meat plants and auto repairs, where the risk of falling objects is low.
Why are the sides perforated?
The perforations provide ventilation and comfort during prolonged wear, especially in hot or humid environments.
