This economical safety vest is designed to ensure worker safety by maximizing visibility in traffic zones or on construction sites. Lightweight and adjustable, it meets Canadian safety standards for high-visibility clothing, offering an effective and affordable protection solution for daily use.
This model is a preferred choice for road signaling and industrial safety:
High Visibility: Made of fluorescent orange polyester fabric for optimal daytime visibility.
Reflective Strips: Features 2-inch (5 cm) reflective strips on a contrasting background, providing 360° visibility at night or in low-light conditions.
Universal Fit: One-size-fits-all design with hook-and-loop (Velcro) side attachments, allowing the vest to be worn over a coat or work clothing.
Lightweight Comfort: The mesh fabric allows for excellent air circulation, reducing heat for the worker.
Streamlined Design: Pocketless model to minimize snagging risks in restricted work environments.
Material: 100% fluorescent polyester.
Fabric Type: Breathable mesh.
Safety Standards: Complies with CSA Z96-15, Class 2, Level 2.
Closure: Front closure and side adjustments via Velcro.
Donning: Place the vest over your regular work clothes.
Adjustment: Fasten the front Velcro, then adjust the side straps so the vest fits snugly without restricting movement.
Verification: Ensure reflective strips are not obstructed by other equipment (e.g., backpacks or safety harnesses).
Target Sectors: Ideal for traffic flaggers, construction workers, crossing guards, and warehouse personnel.
Class 2 is required for workers operating near vehicles traveling at moderate speeds or in complex visibility conditions.
Yes, it is recommended to hand wash or use a delicate cycle in cold water and hang to dry to preserve the reflective properties of the strips.
No, this model is made of standard polyester. For environments with arc flash or fire risks, a flame-resistant (FR) vest is required.
Replacement: Immediately replace the vest if it is excessively soiled, faded, or if the reflective strips are worn out. A dull vest loses its protective effectiveness.
Increased Visibility: For work on roads where speeds exceed 80 km/h, check if Class E armbands or pants are required to achieve a Class 3 ensemble.
You'll need additional equipment, such as warning lines with built-in flags (EFLAC), road posts with "T" shape as (EPAL191) road posts, the post with the shape of "∩" model or (EPAL192 model), or the beacon (EPAL2319) the largest of the group.
