The SureKnit(R) composite fibre sleeve in gauge 13 provides an A8 (ASTM/ANSI) cut resistance, the highest level in this range, over a total length of 18 in (45.7 cm). FDA approved for food handling, it is designed for demanding food-processing environments. Its tubular knit layer, highly resistant to cuts and abrasion, protects the forearm; its blue colour allows quick detection in case of a mishap; and its biceps clip keeps it in place for maximum comfort and protection. The Ultra-Fresh(R) treatment reduces bacterial growth, making it ideal for food handling. Superior manufacturer's code: SLSXB18MC. Sold in pairs.
This high-tenacity composite knit sleeve features a tubular knit layer that is highly resistant to cuts and abrasion, for very high-level protection. Its blue colour allows quick and effective detection in case of contamination, an essential asset in food environments. It is fitted with a clip at the biceps that keeps it in place for maximum comfort and protection. In addition, the Ultra-Fresh(R) treatment applied to the sleeve reduces bacterial growth, making it especially suited to food handling.

This sleeve is recommended for workers in the food industry, and especially for those handling meat. The manufacturer also recommends it for work in butcher shops, grocery stores and restaurants, where knives and sharp tools expose the forearms to cuts. It can also be used in food-processing plants, canneries and slaughterhouses. Its FDA approval and antibacterial treatment make it a top choice wherever hygiene is paramount.
The composite fibre of this sleeve is not very heat resistant: do not use it as thermal protection or near a flame. This sleeve offers only limited protection against cuts, tears and puncture; it reduces the risk without being able to eliminate it completely and does not replace a risk assessment or other safety measures. Always check that level A8 suits the actual task before use.
A basic maintenance is recommended to extend the service life of your sleeves. Simply wash them with cold water, that is 85°F / 30°C, with a mild detergent, then dry them at low température in a dryer. Never use bleach on this sleeve. Replace it as soon as it is cut, punctured or too worn in order to maintain a good level of cut protection and food cleanliness.
It provides an A8 cut resistance according to ASTM and ANSI standards, a very high level of protection against cut hazards.
