Manufacturer 3M, model 60926
The 3M 60926 combined cartridge is designed for professionals exposed to a variety of hazardous gases, including organic vapors (solvents, hydrocarbons), acid gases (chlorine, sulfur dioxide, hydrogen fluoride), and certain complex industrial gases. Compatible with 3M masks from the 6000, 7000 and FF-400 series, it integrates a P100 filter and multigas activated carbon for 99.97% particle filtration and targeted gas absorption. Sold in pairs, it meets NIOSH 42 CFR 84 standards.
Respiratory protection against organic vapors and acid gases.
This model combines a high-performance P100 filter and multigas activated carbon. The P100 filter captures solid and liquid particles, including oily aerosols, radioactive particles, heavy metals (lead, arsenic, cadmium), low-level asbestos, and carcinogenic particles such as MDA. The multigas activated carbon absorbs a wide range of toxic gases and vapors, ensuring reliable respiratory protection in industrial environments with multiple hazards.
The cartridge quickly attaches to the side connectors of compatible masks. Simply clip each cartridge until you hear a click, ensuring a perfect seal. This intuitive installation allows immediate use without tools or complex adjustments.
This type of cartridge is ideal for work in chemical, petrochemical, and mining industries, as well as in metal production. The filter in this cartridge provides protection against solid particles released into the air. It is also effective against liquid particles from oily aerosols. They offer reliable protection against aerosol particles that may contain oil, radioactive particles (uranium and plutonium), heavy metal particles (lead, cadmium, arsenic), low-level asbestos, and carcinogenic particles (4,4’-methylenedianiline (MDA)). This type of cartridge must not be used on a mask in an environment exceeding a concentration greater than 10 times the permissible exposure limit set by the CNESST.
WARNING: This type of cartridge does not protect against carbon monoxide (CO) or carbon dioxide (CO₂). If these gases may be present in your work environment, other protective measures must be taken.
These cartridges can help reduce inhalation exposure to certain airborne biological particles, such as mold, Bacillus anthracis (anthrax), Mycobacterium tuberculosis (Koch’s bacillus) responsible for tuberculosis, pandemic flu strains (H5N1, H1N1), etc. However, they cannot completely eliminate the risk of infection, pathology, or disease. Of course, when protection is needed only against biological particles, this type of equipment is not recommended. 3M’s P100 cartridges are designed for workers who may need protection from biological particles in addition to certain gases and/or vapors and airborne particles.
Do not use if the user has a beard or suffers from a condition that may prevent direct contact between the mask edge and the face. It is not recommended to use these cartridges if there is a concentration of gases and vapors above the permissible limit. Do not use when particles are released during sandblasting and aerosol concentrations exceed 10 times the permissible exposure limit set by the CNESST or any other applicable government regulation. This type of respiratory protection cartridge should only be used in areas that do not present a risk of oxygen deficiency.
Studies have shown that, in the case of contaminant mixtures, all contaminants are simultaneously absorbed on the surface of the carbon. When there is no more space, the most volatile solvent “breaks” the cartridge. If the cartridges have not reached their saturation limit, they are reusable. It is advisable to store them in a sealed container or bag, since they absorb contaminants from the air even when not worn. The cartridges are disposable, so there is no maintenance. In principle, if it becomes difficult to breathe while wearing this type of cartridge, the filter part of the cartridge is saturated and must be replaced. Additionally, if you can smell and/or taste the contaminants you are protecting yourself from, the activated carbon cartridge part is saturated (“broken”), and the cartridge must also be replaced at that time. It is recommended to follow the limits established by the manufacturer.
Use these cartridges only in well-ventilated environments and within permissible exposure limits. Check mask compatibility before each use. Wear the equipment upon entering the contaminated area and remove it only after leaving the hazardous environment. Follow safety instructions and internal protocols.
It filters organic vapors, acid gases, and certain complex industrial gases, in addition to solid and liquid particles.
No, it does not protect against CO or CO₂. Another respiratory solution must be considered in such cases.
Yes, it is compatible with respirators from the 6000, 7000 and FF-400 series. Always verify compatibility before use.
