Yaktrax® ICEtrekkers™ traction aids on ice and snow. These traction aids, a.k.a. spikes or non-slip soles, suit most flat footwear, be it slippers, running shoes or boot.
These traction aids are available in five (5) different sizes. Please select the size needed in the field located above.
These traction aids are recommended for outdoor enthusiasts and workers exposed to winter conditions. They may help, among other things, to avoid injuries inflicted upon slipping and falling on ice. Indeed, these spikes are quite useful on ice as on snow for outdoor people. Be it in urban settings or in the countryside, if one is on and off on icy surfaces, ICEtrekkers™ are what is needed. The change of surfaces may turn out to be more unstable than previously thought, and spikes are good on ice, not on concrete, for example; which is why one need these for non-icy and icy alternatives.
The proprietary design of the ICEtrekkers™ provides an unbeaten stability on a plethora of surfaces. These spikes provide an aggressive traction by its case-hardened steel alloy "beads" to offer hundreds of biting edges for exceptional grip in all directions. That one finds himself suddenly on a non-icy surface will not have an impact on the person’s stability. The beads’ design prevents the accumulation of snow or mud under the boot. Furthermore, this particular model of traction aids is easy to use for drivers since the bead design doesn’t prevent a stable contact between pedals and feet as it is with regular spikes. They’re as well responsive on ice and snow. These versatile traction aids offer an excellent protection: the rubber compound, a stable material which holds up to temperature variations going as low as -40 °C, ensures the user’s relative safety. Its one single piece design stretches to adjust to most types of footwear: it’s an easy donning in one movement.
It is always best to sit to try on these traction aids. Simply insert the front of the boot in the toecage and pull on the webbing at the back until it reaches the tip of the heel. When well done, the rubber sole shall oppose a resistance on your boot thus keeping it in place. Make sure all spikes are well centered on your foot.
These spikes are available in five (5) different sizes. As a guideline, choose one size up your regular size if the traction aids are to be used on regular boots, but add two (2) foot sizes for bulky boots.

Maintenance and service life:
Do not use solvents to clean your equipment: solvents or any other abrasive substance may weaken rubber. A mild soap and lukewarm water is advised if need be. It is necessary to dry them: steel spikes rust. These helpers shall be kept close by, Mother Nature’s can be a sneaky one.
Yaktrax® ICEtrekkers™ traction aids are long-lasting depending on the use one makes with them.
