Metguard metatarsal guards are worn over work boots to protect the instep, complementing the steel toes of your footwear. Made of durable, light and non-conductive polycarbonate, they resist a minimum 75 lb impact and transfer easily from one worker or shoe to another. Aligned protection from the toes to the ankles.
Durable, light and non-conductive polycarbonate
Made of polycarbonate, these guards are durable, light and non-conductive, an asset in electrical environments. They redirect and disperse impact energy on the top of the foot to protect the metatarsal area.
ASTM compliance and 75 lb impact resistance
Metguard guards meet the requirements of ASTM F2412-11 and ASTM F2413-11 for impact resistance, meaning they withstand a minimum 75 lb impact.
Removable, transferable installation of the guard
Metatarsal guards are worn over the boot and held in place by the work boot laces. For laceless boots (such as rubber boots), use a strap set (see VCMETS). They are removable and transfer from one worker to another.
Uses of Metguard metatarsal guards
Ideal wherever a risk assessment requires metatarsal protection in addition to the toe cap: construction, metalwork, heavy handling, forestry and industry where heavy objects may fall on the instep.
