This glove has a puncture resistance level 4, an abrasion resistance level 5 and a cut resistance level A3 according to ASTM and ANSI standards.
GS13TAFNT peculiarities:
TenActiv™ series gloves are made of a high-tenacity composite fiber which is on an equal-weight basis, more resistant than steel, thus it doesn’t lint. This comfortable and lightweight glove does not hamper dexterity and protects outstandingly from cuts and abrasion. The foam nitrile coating provides an excellent grip both on wet and slippery surfaces and even allows one to handle his or her touchscreen devices. The glove’s shell has been Factored™, which means it has been treated to enhance the adhesion of the coating which in return doesn’t flake as easily even after many wash cycle.
Nitrile foam properties:
Nitrile foam has essentially the same properties as regular nitrile. The difference lies in the additives dispersed slightly through the compounding – in this case, a vulcanizing agent and a foaming agent are added, which causes a small loss of elasticity. Nitrile foam offer a better barrier performance to viruses and blood borne pathogens, and liquids for that matter, than latex foam but still doesn’t protect entirely since the frothing of nitrile makes it porous, thus permeable. As long as the limitations on use set by the manufacturer are respected, your latex glove will remain comfortable and offer a good dexterity.
Use for:
This glove is recommended for workers who handle sharp objects or work in glass plants, in the construction, in the automotive industry, aerospace industry, in the metal fabrication sector or in the metal stamping.
Do not use for:
The composite fiber used for this glove is not heat resistant. As for foam nitrile, it has little to no resistance to flames. This glove offers no sure protection against cuts, wear, tear and puncture so mechanical risks should not be overlooked. Foam nitrile is porous, thus permeable to liquids. Since the glove is partially covered, it is not recommended to submerge it in liquids.
Maintenance and service life:
It is recommended to carry out a basic maintenance to extend the service life of your gloves. Simply wash them with cold water, that is, 85°F/30°C, and a mild detergent. It is also recommended to rinse your glove with cold water after wash. You can then dry them at low temperature in a dryer. Never use bleach on this glove.
