The Superior TenActiv™ glove (product code S13TAFNT) is an economical choice for cut resistance, touchscreen compatibility and a stable grip in wet conditions. Its TenActiv™ engineered yarn provides 360° cut protection with an ANSI A4 cut resistance level, and contains no latex to reduce the risk of allergies. The foam nitrile palm coating ensures a good grip on wet or lightly oiled surfaces. It also offers an abrasion resistance level 5 according to ASTM and ANSI standards. Available from double extra-small (5) to double extra-large (11), sold in pairs.
Superior manufacturer's code: S13TAFNT
This TenActiv™ series glove is made of a high-tenacity composite yarn that, on an equal-weight basis, is more resistant than steel and does not lint. Comfortable and lightweight, it does not hamper dexterity while providing outstanding protection from cuts and abrasion. The foam nitrile coating provides an excellent grip on both wet and slippery surfaces and lets you handle touchscreen devices. Its shell has also been Factored™, a treatment that enhances the coating's adhesion so it does not flake as easily even after many wash cycles. Made without latex, it reduces the risk of allergies.
The TenActiv™ composite combines high-tenacity fibers that, on an equal-weight basis, are more resistant than steel, to achieve a high level of cut resistance (ANSI A4) while remaining thin and flexible. This construction ensures good dexterity and high abrasion resistance (level 5) without compromising comfort or tactile sensitivity.
Nitrile foam has essentially the same properties as regular nitrile; the difference lies in the additives dispersed through the compounding — in this case a vulcanizing agent and a foaming agent, which cause a small loss of elasticity. Nitrile foam offers a better barrier performance against viruses, blood-borne pathogens and liquids than latex foam, but does not protect entirely, since the frothing of nitrile makes it porous and thus permeable. As long as the manufacturer's limitations on use are respected, the glove remains comfortable and offers good dexterity.
This glove is recommended for workers who handle sharp objects or work in glass plants, construction, the automotive industry, the aerospace industry, metal fabrication and metal stamping.
The composite fiber used for this glove is not heat resistant, and the foam nitrile has little to no resistance to flames. This glove cannot eliminate the risk of cuts and lacerations. Foam nitrile is porous and thus permeable to liquids; moreover, the glove is only partially coated and should not be immersed in liquids.
Basic regular maintenance extends the life of your gloves. Wash them in cold water and tumble-dry on low heat. Never use bleach or detergent on this glove.
