The 3M N95 8110S Particulate Respirator is a single-use respiratory protection mask NIOSH N95 approved for at least 95% filtration efficiency against certain non-oil-based particles. Designed in cup style, it offers a structured interior space that stays away from the face for enhanced comfort during prolonged wear. Its small size is ideal for users with smaller faces, providing a better fit and seal than standard-size masks. The foam nose band replaces the traditional metal nose clip for added comfort. Sold in boxes of 20 units.
3M Manufacturer Code: 7000052065, model: 8110S
The 3M 8110S respirator is made with 3M's advanced electrostatic filter material to filter dust and particles while enabling easy breathing. The strap is welded directly to the mask for increased durability. The foam nose band provides a comfortable seal against the nose. Latex-free. Strap material: polyisoprene. Attachment type: stapling. Harmonization code: 6307901000. Origin: United States. Shipped from Milton, Ontario.
This respirator is designed for users with a small-sized face. Perform a fit test in accordance with CSA Z94.4 standard to confirm adequate sealing before any use in a hazardous environment. Do not use without prior fit testing in regulated environments. Inspect the mask before each use for any damage. Discard immediately after contamination, damage, or wetting. Do not use in oxygen-deficient or IDLH atmospheres.
The 8110S respirator is cup-style: its rigid, structured shape stays away from the face, creating a constant interior space even at rest. The VFlex 9105 is V-fold (fold-flat): it can be folded flat for convenient storage in a pocket or wallet, then expands during use. The cup style is generally preferred for intensive and prolonged use because it better maintains its shape during mouth movements. The fold-flat format is more compact for transport and storage. Both are N95 approved and offer the same level of protection.
The 8110S and 8210 are from the same 8000 product series and share the same NIOSH N95 approval and cup design. The main difference is size: the 8110S is specifically designed for people with smaller faces who have difficulty obtaining a good fit with standard-size masks. A poorly fitted mask, even if N95 approved, cannot provide the protection it was designed for. For users with a small face or fine facial features, the 8110S provides a better facial seal and therefore more reliable real-world protection.
The 8110S respirator is a single-use device. It must not be shared between multiple users. Reuse between shifts is not recommended in contaminated environments as the outer surface may accumulate contaminants. If the respirator is used in a non-contaminated environment (e.g., protection against light wood dust) and has not been wetted or damaged, some employers allow limited reuse according to their internal policies. Always consult the risk assessment and employer policies to determine the appropriate replacement frequency.
