The DuPont™ Tyvek® 400 hooded disposable coverall provides an optimal barrier against particles and light liquid aerosols. Made from high-density polyethylene non-woven fibres, it offers exceptional resistance to abrasion, punctures and tears while remaining flexible, lightweight and breathable. Its integrated hood enhances protection, making it ideal for demanding environments such as chemical, pharmaceutical or painting industries, as well as asbestos removal. A reliable, economical protection that does not restrict movement. Sold individually (25 units per case).
DuPont™ manufacturer code: TY127SWH. Available in sizes from M to 4XL; select your size from the drop-down menu above.
According to DuPont™, Tyvek® is a material made from high-density polyethylene, composed of non-woven fibres bonded together by a thermal process. This fabric offers good resistance to particles and light liquid aerosols, as well as to low-concentration aqueous chemicals. The coverall is comfortable, flexible and economical. For more information, see the information sheet and permeation guide available under the Download tab on the left (documents in English only).
This Tyvek® 400 coverall combines protection and ergonomics. Its innovative fabric, lightweight yet robust, forms an effective barrier against microparticles while allowing air to circulate, preventing heat build-up. Its well-designed fit limits exposure risks by ensuring uniform body coverage, notably thanks to its perfectly integrated hood. The material’s flexibility offers the freedom of movement essential for demanding tasks, while its smooth surface reduces contaminant adhesion.
For optimal and safe use, ensure a proper fit so the coverall covers the entire body with no exposed gaps. Position the integrated hood correctly for complete protection, alongside other equipment such as a respirator and gloves. Before each use, check the integrity of the material. It is especially suited to asbestos removal, decontamination and the chemical, pharmaceutical or painting industries.
Tyvek® 400 resists low-concentration aqueous chemicals but does not protect against aggressive chemicals or strong solvents; for those environments, choose a coverall with higher chemical protection such as the Tychem® 2000. It is not certified as medical equipment against viruses or bacteria. It is a single-use item: after the task, remove it carefully to avoid secondary contamination.
Before use, store the coverall in a dry place, away from moisture, direct light, extreme temperature variations and degrading substances. Avoid excessive friction that could reduce its effectiveness. Although disposable, it should be removed carefully after use, then disposed of according to procedures suited to the work environment.
Tyvek® 400 offers an excellent barrier against solid particles and some liquid aerosols, but it is not certified as medical equipment against viruses or bacteria. For enhanced biological protection, use suitable PPE such as the Tychem® 2000 coverall.
No. The Tyvek® 400 coverall is designed for single use: once used, it must be removed carefully and disposed of according to applicable protocols.
It resists low-concentration aqueous chemicals but not aggressive chemicals or strong solvents. For those environments, choose a coverall with higher chemical protection.
Available from M to 4XL, sold individually (25 units per case). DuPont™ manufacturer code TY127SWH.
Yes. Its barrier against solid particles and its integrated hood make it a suitable choice for work involving asbestos, in combination with a respiratory protective device.
