This neck warmer is woven predominantly from a blend of carbon fibers with other fibers not disclosed by the manufacturer. It is commercially known as Flame-Gard®. This fiber is inherently flame-retardant and arc-resistant, with a thermal arc protection value of 40 cal/cm². It is very soft, warm and comfortable.

Garments made from this fabric are designed to protect workers against the risk of combustion or burns in high-risk work environments.
