Amerex heavy-duty wall-mounted or vehicle rubber strap bracket for 20 lb portable fire extinguishers. Amerex 864 bracket has been designed for 7 to 8 inches diameter cylinders.
This bracket meets the latest UL and ASTM B117 salt spray corrosion requirements given its primed and powder coated paint finish.
This advantageous bracket is heavy-duty made and features no easily breakable parts yielding it unusable. Traditional vehicle brackets have two fasteners which people tend to push too much at which point the bracket becomes useless. In such positions, people tend to wrongly find home-grown solutions such as the use of tie-wraps or scotch tape. These solutions jeopardize the quick access to portable fire extinguishers. On the contrary, Amerex adjustable rubber straps enable a close fit according to the diameter of the cylinder. The advantage of these straps is that they’re replaceable in case of breakage.
Amerex manufacturer’s code: 864
Amerex’s innovative design supports extinguishers in three main points: there are two lateral rubber straps and a metal base rod covering the vertical axis.
One of the greatest advantages of this bracket is that it can handle a number of different portable fire extinguisher models from many different manufacturers. You can thus change fire extinguisher brand without being concerned with changing brackets. Not only does this feature helps you save money on equipment, but it also allows you to save time and effort since no new holes have to be drilled whenever you change brands. Aesthetically speaking, your trucks won’t look like the back wall of a shooting range. Further thinking also demonstrates that such brackets enable you to keep your truck safe whenever you get spares while your extinguishers are being serviced. This Amerex bracket may welcome any similar extinguishers
The structure of this bracket is entirely made of a 5/32 inches (4 mm) thick steel, hence its rare sturdiness. Sylprotec is quite proud to offer quality products with no built-in planned obsolescence to customers.
Please follow the instructions to install: place the bracket in an open area cleared of any physical and visual obstacles. It is crucial to use flat screws to avoid cutting notches on the cylinder. More often than not, fire extinguishers have been nicked by deck screws. Please see the picture of the selected model.
