This equipment is designed to provide maximum protection where plumbing is unavailable:
7-Gallon Capacity (26.5 L): Provides a continuous flow of at least 1.5 L/min for the full 15-minute irrigation period required by safety regulations.
Rapid Activation: The yellow activation arm is pulled down in a single motion to instantly release the water flow—a vital feature in high-stress situations.
Translucent Reservoir: The high-visibility yellow tank allows you to check water levels and cleanliness at a glance.
Versatile Mounting: Can be wall-mounted (bracket included) or placed on a sturdy flat surface like a table or counter.
Durable Construction: Made of high-density polyethylene, which is resistant to impacts and various chemicals.
Mounting: Install the unit at an accessible height (the spray heads should be between 33" and 45" from the floor per ANSI standards). Use the provided wall bracket.
Preparation: Fill the reservoir with lukewarm potable water. Important: Add one bottle of antibacterial solution (PD19921S) to prevent water contamination.
Emergency Use:
Pull the yellow tray downward to start the flow.
Hold eyelids open and rinse both eyes simultaneously in the water stream.
Continue rinsing for at least 15 minutes.
Maintenance: Drain and clean the tank every 4 months. Replace the water and the antibacterial additive during each cycle.
Sylprotec experts recommend a proactive approach to maintaining your portable station:
Antibacterial Solution: Stagnant water is a breeding ground for bacteria. Using the additive (sold separately) is mandatory to ensure the water is safe for the eyes.
Accessibility: The station must be located within 10 seconds of the hazard, and the path must be clear of obstructions.
Inspection: Use an inspection tag to record water changes and weekly checks to ensure the unit is full and functional.
No, the unit is shipped empty. You must fill it with potable water and add the required antibacterial preservative.
No, the water will freeze, rendering the unit useless. For cold environments, a heated jacket version (PD19921H) is available.
While light when empty, a full 7-gallon unit weighs approximately 66 lbs (30 kg). Ensure your wall mounting is secure and capable of supporting this weight.
