Pyramex Proximity SB9310ST safety glasses combine a clear polycarbonate lens with foam padding. Anti-fog treatment and scratch resistance address the needs of workers alternating between inspecting a part and moving through the workshop. The lens has a 9.5 base curve and provides 99% UVA/B/C protection. A black frame accompanies the clear lens. Sold individually, Proximity glasses allow eye protection to be selected for a specific workstation after checking the fit.
For fitting parts in a machine shop, installation maintenance and inspection in production areas. Check how the padding fits with other protective equipment. The flame-resistant foam does not constitute fire certification of the glasses.
Dislodge dust before wiping the lens with a soft cloth. Use cleaning methods compatible with its treatment and allow the foam to dry before storage. Inspect the padding and contact areas. Deep scratches, cracks or deteriorated foam call for replacement.
No. Keep the lens clean and use cleaning methods suitable for the treatment. Anti-fog treatment does not replace regular care.
Yes, it is scratch resistant. Still avoid dry wiping when it is covered in dust.
The stated protection is 99% UVA/B/C. The lens remains clear.
No. Flame resistance concerns the foam padding. It does not certify the glasses as fire-protection equipment.
No. Model SB9310ST is sold individually.
For a technician fitting parts with these glasses near a floor-level maintenance opening, plan for foam nitrile-coated TenActiv gloves (GS13TAFNT) and a red surveyor vest (V6683) with pockets. The Omega II ratchet helmet (TA14OR) addresses site head protection requirements. Add a valved Moldex mask (R2300) if dust exposure requires it and a tool-free manhole barrier (EPTBB) to protect the open access.
For additional protection from projectiles toward the face, the Fibre-Metal faceshield (YVF4199) requires a suitable holder. For tasks calling for different eye coverage, consider Zenith goggles (YG456) or clear anti-fog Stealth (YG3960C) eyewear. Virtua (YA11872) Max glasses with a foam gasket offer another construction to compare. Consider the OX (YA12166) model for coverage over prescription glasses.
