This industrial-grade steel snow shovel is made for the work plastic shovels cannot do: cutting snow blocks, breaking hardened snow and tackling ice. Its 11.7 in wide tempered steel blade has serrated edges that slice through crusted snow, and its serrated corners thoroughly clear snow from steps and hard-to-reach areas. The footsteps let you push with your foot for easier snow penetration, and the sturdy plastic-covered steel D-grip stands the test of time.
This shovel is used to maintain entrances, steps, docks and sidewalks when snow has hardened or turned into ice, for example after a snowplow has passed or a thaw followed by freezing. To quickly clear light snow from a large surface, use instead the Garant Pro GIPP21KD snow pusher (EAGIPP21KD).
