Press your foot on the footstep to push the scoop into the snow, then pull or push the shovel to slide the load, without lifting it. Do not overfill the scoop when the snow is heavy and wet. After use, empty and shake the scoop, and store the shovel under cover. Inspect the wear strip: when it is badly worn, the scoop rubs directly on the ground and wears faster.
