Cotton has a high water-absorbing capacity and handles sebum well without getting damp. It is breathable, hypoallergenic and offers a nice touch and good comfort, which suits perfectly those with sensitive skin. Cotton has low thermal conductivity, so in summer it prevents your skin from overheating and in winter it preserves your body's warmth.
Natural rubber latex properties vary according to the additives dispersed through the compounding. This polymer structure delivers, among other things, its significant elasticity, flexibility, high tensile strength and excellent barrier performance against viruses and blood-borne pathogens. Compared with its synthetic counterparts, natural latex offers poor resistance to oils, fats and hydrocarbons, but resists well to a 10% concentration of nitric acid, a 36% concentration of hydrochloric acid and a 50% concentration of sulphuric acid.
According to the manufacturer, this glove is ideal for construction and renovation work, material handling and general manual work requiring sensitivity, dexterity and protection. It may also be used by workers in the automotive, glass, transport, forestry and maintenance industries.
Natural latex degrades quickly when in contact with most organic solvents and hydrocarbons. As this glove is only partially coated, it is not intended to be immersed in liquids. It offers only limited protection against cuts, wear, tear and puncture, so mechanical risks should not be overlooked. Natural rubber latex contains latex proteins, a known allergen. Contact with these proteins can lead to a reaction or the development of a Type-I allergy, a quick and sometimes deadly reaction, with symptoms ranging from simple skin irritation to a life-threatening anaphylactic reaction.
Washing this glove is not recommended, since it is afterward quite difficult to dry it completely.
