The mask respirator is available in several sizes:
Safety, comfort, and performance.
This full-face piece stands out for its lightness, durability, and user comfort. It features a four-point adjustable head harness, a hypoallergenic silicone face seal, and a wide lens offering a panoramic field of vision. Its modular design facilitates the installation of cartridges and filters while ensuring effective protection against particles, organic gases, acid vapors, and other industrial contaminants.
To install the 3M Series 6000 full-face piece, simply adjust the head harness, position the face seal correctly on the face, and attach the compatible cartridges or filters according to the desired protection type. The bayonet interface allows secure and intuitive attachment of filtering elements. A seal check is recommended before each use to ensure optimal protection.
This type of respiratory protection mask is recommended for work that releases solid and liquid particles into the air or for tasks in environments with contaminants and/or biological particles in the air. It is particularly useful when there are fumes that irritate the eye mucous membranes. The visor is CSA-approved for impact resistance and serves as safety goggles. Of course, the filtration system must be adapted with the correct filters or cartridges to ensure adequate protection.
It is not recommended to use a respiratory protection mask when a beard is visible. Facial hair or any other condition that prevents direct contact between the mask edge and the face may compromise worker safety by not providing full protection. Do not use if you suffer from a respiratory illness such as asthma or emphysema.
Do not use during sandblasting or in areas with aerosol concentrations exceeding 10 times the permissible exposure limit set by CNESST or any other applicable government regulation. This respiratory protection mask should only be used in areas without oxygen deficiency risk.
To achieve a protection factor against concentrations 50 times the exposure limit permitted by CNESST, workers must successfully pass a quantitative fit test. Currently, the manufacturer provides this service by appointment and according to its pricing.
This full-face piece is reusable provided it is maintained and stored according to guidelines. 3M recommends always inspecting the mask before use, cleaning it after use, and storing it in its packaging when not in use. During cleaning, do not use solvents, as they may weaken certain mask components, affecting its effectiveness. Always remove cartridges or filters after use.
Use the 3M Series 6000 full-face pieces in environments where particles, gases, or vapors are present. Make sure to choose cartridges and filters suited to your activity sector: painting, welding, chemical treatment, construction, or sanitation. Follow safety instructions, check mask fit, and replace filtering elements according to the manufacturer’s recommendations.
This mask is compatible with 3M cartridges and filters from the 2000, 5000, and 6000 series, providing protection against particles, gases, and vapors as needed.
Yes, this mask is NIOSH-approved, ensuring compliance with safety standards for industrial and professional environments.
It is recommended to perform a positive or negative pressure test by covering the cartridges and gently inhaling or exhaling to ensure the face seal is properly adjusted.
