Due North® winter boot heel crampons are traction aids specially designed to make walking on ice safer while maintaining driving ability. Unlike soles that cover the entire foot, this model focuses solely on the heel, where the risk of slipping is highest when stepping forward.
They are suitable for all types of flat-heeled shoes, winter boots, hiking boots, or work shoes and are particularly suitable for people who frequently alternate between walking and driving.
These cleats are made of high-strength flexible rubber that retains its elasticity down to -40°C. The one-piece design stretches easily and installs quickly on the heel of the boot, without straps or complex mechanisms.
Grip is provided by four (4) Ice Diamond™ tungsten carbide spikes, positioned exclusively under the heel. This configuration provides:
Two replacement spikes are included to extend the life of the product in case of wear or loss.
This model is particularly recommended for:
It effectively reduces the risk of slipping when walking, without compromising mobility or vehicle control.
Avoid using solvents that could damage the rubber. Occasional cleaning with warm water and mild soap is sufficient.
No specific drying is required after use: tungsten carbide spikes do not rust.
Thanks to its targeted design and replaceable spikes, this model offers a very long lifespan, which varies depending on frequency of use and winter conditions.
The heel is the most critical area when stepping on ice. By concentrating traction in this area, these cleats effectively reduce the risk of slipping without interfering with the front of the foot, which is essential for driving.
