This yellow and black tape marks physical hazards and creates visible markers on floors, walls, pipes and equipment. Its 108 ft roll suits continuous marking, when a workshop lane or warehouse run calls for a band with few joints. The 6.3 mils soft PVC is covered with a clear protective film and applied with a pressure-sensitive rubber-based adhesive. According to the manufacturer, its colors follow the ANSI Z535.1 color code.
The manufacturer intends this series for industrial identification, color coding, lane marking and bundling. The 108 ft length comes into its own on a workshop lane, along a warehouse aisle or around a group of equipment, where the marking continues over several sections. Yellow and black draw attention to a physical hazard such as a pillar, an edge or a low pipe.
Choose the width according to the surface to mark and the viewing distance you want. The 1 in and 2 in widths suit pipes, color coding and discreet lines; the 3 in and 4 in widths give a stronger band on a wall or along a lane; the 6 in is the widest band on this page, for a long warehouse run. This laminated tape remains smooth: where foot traction is the concern, choose an anti-slip tape instead.

Typical values are averages measured by the ASTM D-1000 test method. They are a general guide and do not indicate any allowable load.
On a long run, prepare the full length of the path before unrolling the tape: the surface must be clean, dry and smooth, free of contaminants. Test the tape on the surface, then press it firmly into place. The smooth finish is easily cleaned. Respect the published service limit, below 60 °C / 140 °F, and store unused rolls at moderate temperature and humidity.
It covers the yellow and black PVC and gives the tape its smooth gloss finish, which is easily cleaned. The manufacturer also states abrasion resistance for this series.
The 4 in suits continuous marking along a workshop lane, and the 6 in gives the widest band on this page. For pipes or color coding, choose the 1 in or 2 in instead. The length remains 108 ft in every case.
The manufacturer mentions floors, walls, pipes and equipment. The surface must be clean, dry and smooth; a test on your surface confirms adhesion before you mark the whole run.
It is used below 60 °C / 140 °F. The ANSI Z535.1 color code is stated by the manufacturer; it is not an approval by an independent body.
Laid flat, this roll is 4 in high, which is the tape width, with an approximate diameter of 5 in. It weighs 1.68 lb / 0.762 kg. The other widths have their own dimensions.
For the person applying this tape along a long workshop run, plan on the skid-proof, non-marking Impacto kneepads (VG102), the 3M SecureFit protective eyewear (YASF401), the TenActiv ASTM/ANSI level A3 cut-resistant foam nitrile gloves (GS13TAFNT) for cutting, according to your risk assessment, and the high-visibility orange safety vest (VV50) to stay visible in aisles used by lift trucks. If the area requires head protection, add the Delta Plus Independence safety helmet (TA14LR).
To cut and cordon off while marking, add the safety knife (SAEC5) with automatic retractable blade and its plastic swivel sheath (SAEEC5). The expandable safety barricade (EPT195) in yellow polypropylene and the bilingual yellow CAUTION DO NOT ENTER barricade tape (ECT3YB1) temporarily mark off the work area. Where lift trucks operate, complete the marking with the round CAUTION FORKLIFT TRAFFIC anti-skid vinyl floor sign (EDCH).
