The 3M Adflo PAPR Filter Cover (ref. 35-1099-81, 3M art.: 7100200482) is a protective accessory designed to extend the service life of the Adflo PAPR system HEPA filter. It is placed in front of the main filter and captures coarse particles (grinding dust, metal filings, metal spatter), preventing their penetration into the costly HEPA filter.

In welding and grinding environments, HEPA filters are subjected to high coarse particle loads that rapidly clog the filter surface and reduce airflow. The filter cover acts as a mechanical pre-filter that intercepts the heaviest particles before they reach the HEPA filter. By regularly replacing the filter cover (less costly), the HEPA filter service life is significantly extended and optimal airflow maintained.

Does the filter cover replace the HEPA filter?

No. The filter cover is a complementary accessory placed in front of the HEPA filter to protect it from coarse particles. It does not replace the HEPA filter - both must be used together. The HEPA filter (R15-0299-2) must be replaced according to 3M recommendations, independently of the filter cover.

Is the filter cover reusable?
