Looking for a fast, effective, and safe solution to encapsulate asbestos on small, hard-to-reach surfaces? Fiberspray Aerosol 8 oz is the ideal tool for decontamination professionals. Whether used as a temporary or permanent encapsulant, this product ensures precise application—even in the most confined areas.
Manufacturer code Fiberlock Technologies: 6421-8oz.
This product can serve as a temporary encapsulant (lockdown adhesive) or a permanent encapsulant. Additionally, it fireproofs coated surfaces. It can be used on both porous and non-porous surfaces such as thermal or acoustic insulation, sprayed coatings, asbestos cement, flooring, and more.
This spray is especially practical for coating small surfaces, for example after sampling, as well as for tight spaces that are difficult to reach with a standard sprayer. The spray can be used in any position—even upside down.
The spray is designed for single-use or very short-term use, as the dried product may clog the nozzle.
As a temporary encapsulant, this product traps remaining fibers after asbestos decontamination. It is commonly used inside glove bags to bond residual asbestos to freshly cleaned pipes, preventing fiber dispersion into the air.
As a permanent encapsulant, this product is applied to asbestos-containing material that cannot be removed or must remain in place. A continuous film of 6 to 10 mils (0.15 to 0.25 mm) will protect the material from degradation and prevent the release of asbestos fibers into the air.

Before applying the asbestos encapsulant, ensure the surface is clean and dry. Shake the bottle vigorously. Hold the spray 8 to 12 inches (20 to 30 cm) from the surface. Apply an even coat, making sure to cover the entire area. For permanent encapsulation, a thickness of 0.15 to 0.25 mm is recommended. The product dries to the touch in about one hour, and a second coat can be applied after four hours if needed.
Fiberspray aerosol is designed for one-time or short-term use. After each use, clean the spray nozzle with soapy water before the product dries to avoid clogging. Store the bottle in a dry place at temperatures between 40°F and 90°F (4.5°C to 32°C). Do not expose to heat or freezing. This encapsulant should be stored away from moisture to maintain its effectiveness.
Use Fiberspray asbestos encapsulant in a well-ventilated area and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (respirator, gloves, coveralls). Apply the product inside glove bags during pipe decontamination to fix residual asbestos. For friable surfaces, apply immediately after sampling to minimize fiber release.
Yes, this encapsulant is compatible with both porous and non-porous materials, including asbestos cement, thermal insulation, and sprayed coatings. It is ideal for small, hard-to-reach surfaces.
One bottle covers approximately 3.25 to 4.18 m², depending on the application thickness and material porosity. This makes it a cost-effective choice for localized asbestos abatement work.
Yes, this encapsulant meets EPA requirements, contains no CFCs, and has a low VOC content of 64 g/L. It supports safe and environmentally responsible asbestos encapsulation.
