Kit of glass clips for clear acrylic panels of fire extinguisher cabinets and fire hose cabinets. This kit includes 4 metal clips, 4 rubber pads and 8 metal screws.
It is recommended to use at least 6 clips when installing a clear acrylic panel in order to achieve sufficient stability. We also recommend installing the clips with a manual screwdriver, given that the screws are very short and there is less risk of damaging the threads.
These clips are compatible with all recessed and semi-recessed fire extinguisher cabinets (EC5, EC6, EC7) and fire hose cabinets (BC100, BC101).
We have noticed over time that in several buildings, the acrylic panels of fire cabinets have been installed with only 4 clips. In some cases, that may be enough. However, if you wish to install cabinets with curved acrylic panels (ex. EC7) in an area with high foot traffic, it is highly likely the curved panel will be snagged and potentially damaged if it is not properly secured. It is well worth it to take a bit more time and use at least 6 clips per panel.
The kit includes 4 metal clips, 4 rubber pads and 8 metal screws. For better stability, we recommend using at least 6 clips per panel, especially on curved panels.
Yes, they are compatible with all Sylprotec recessed and semi-recessed cabinets for portable fire extinguishers (EC5 to EC7) as well as fire hose cabinets (BC100, BC101).
Use a manual screwdriver rather than a power driver: the supplied screws are very short, which reduces the risk of stripping the threads when tightening.
If you need a replacement panel for your cabinet, also see the EC1 panel (EF1), the EC2 window (EF2), the EC3 pane (EF3), the EC5 model (EF5), the EC6 piece (EF6), the EC7 polycarbonate (EF7), the acrylic (BC100V) or the plate (BC101V). Under "Accessories" at the bottom of the page.
