Silver Shield® ambidextrous powder-free, non-allergenic gloves a thickness 2.7 mils for chemical protection. Sold by paire.

These laminated Norfoil gloves consists of 5 layers of polyethylene (PE) and ethylene-vinyl alcohol (EVOH), a quite resistant material that can protect one from up to 280 different chemical products including alcohols, acetone, benzene, chlorine, ketones, epoxy esters, methanol, methyl ethyl ketone, sodium hydroxide, sulphuric acid (96%), toluene, trichloroethylene and more.

These laminated gloves meet EN420 standard concerning the general requirements of protective glove for the construction field; EN374 standard as for its permeability and its term of protection from chemical and/or infectious agents; and EN388 regarding its resistance to mechanical hazards such as abrasion, cutting, tearing and puncture.

This model of glove is also certified ASTM D3389-05 as for its abrasion resistance, and ASTM F1790-97 for the level of protection against the cuts.

This glove may use for work involving the handling of micro-organisms in general, since it has been designed to protect one from infectious substances (Class D materials according to WHMIS). Besides, you will find the biodanger pictograph on the packaging. The manufacturer also ensures that the glove has an acceptable quality limit (AQL) index of 1,5.

The ‘chemical resistant’ glove pictographis accompanied by a 3-digit code. This code refers to the code letters of 3 chemicals from a list of 12 standard defined chemicals, for which a breakthrough time of at least 30 minutes has been obtained. The Silver Shield® glove has an AHL code which stands for methanol (A), tetrahydrofuran (H) and 96% sulphuric acid (L).

Use for:
This glove is ideal for the furniture industry, chemical manufacturing, laboratories and emergency services. This glove will often be used as a dual protection under another glove that offers a better protection against mechanical hazards.

Maintenance and life service:
