Look no further than the SAF847 12-cylinder cabinet!

Designed to store up to 12 35-lb. liquid propane cylinders. It's made of high-grade steel for extra strength, with shelves and roof in 14-gauge ribbed sheet metal, and 2" x 2" angled uprights in 10-gauge formed steel. Doors and sides are made of 9-gauge wire mesh, to ensure good air circulation and avoid the risk of gas build-up. The doors feature an innovative design that allows for right- or left-hand installation.

The cabinet is available in yellow for improved visibility.

The 12-cylinder cabinet meets or exceeds the stringent CSA B149.2-0 international code for propane storage and handling. Cylinders are kept upright at all times, thanks to supports and retaining chains. It features a padlock hasp for added security, and warning labels in English and French.

What's more, it comes disassembled to reduce shipping costs, but assembles easily with bolts and nuts. Dimensions are 44" wide, 30" deep and 74" high. It weighs 270 lbs.

About the standard for cabinet:

CSA International Code B149.2-0 is a standard that applies to the storage, handling and use of propane. It was developed and published by CSA Group, also known as the Canadian Standards Association. This code contains requirements for the installation, operation and maintenance of tanks, cylinders, vaporizers, dispensers, filling stations, refueling centers and appliances using propane. It also covers aspects of safety, prevention and protection against fires, leaks and explosions.

The 2020 edition of this code came into force on July 31, 2020. It replaces the 2015 edition.

Key features of the Kleton propane cylinder cabinet:

I deal for service stations, workshops, garages, manufacturing plants, construction sites, etc. Fully welded, assembly required.

Propane cylinders should be handled and transported with care, using suitable carts or hand trucks. They should not be dragged, rolled, bumped or exposed to shock or vibration. They should also not be exposed to extreme temperatures or direct sunlight.

Sylprotec tip:

We recommend putting up "danger matières inflammables" (ECD410) signs and securing access with a padlock and a "Do not open" label. A padlock allows you to control who has access to the gas cylinders (CA1M). This can be particularly important in work environments where only certain people are trained to handle these cylinders. In addition, for a propane vapor cylinder, the same precautions apply as for a propane liquid cylinder: protective gloves must be worn. Use gloves that protect against cold and chemicals.  Liquid propane can cause cold burns and skin damage, so we recommend nitrile gloves, such as our flannel-lined cotton gloves (G520), or neoprene gloves, such as our black neoprene gloves (GNE3030). Latex or PVC vinyl gloves are not recommended.

How to install the Kleton gas cylinder cabinet:

The cabinet ships flat-packed to reduce freight costs and is easy to assemble on-site. Simply follow the included instructions to attach the steel posts, mesh panels, and shelves. The reversible door can be installed on either side to suit your layout. Once assembled, place the cabinet on a level surface in a well-ventilated area, away from ignition sources.

Maintenance tips for your Kleton gas cylinder cabinet:

To maintain optimal safety and performance, inspect the cabinet regularly for signs of wear or corrosion. Clean the steel surfaces with a mild detergent and soft cloth, avoiding harsh chemicals. Ensure the mesh panels remain unobstructed for proper airflow, and check that the padlock hasp and warning labels are intact and functional.

Best practices for using the Kleton WA12CP propane cabinet:

Always store propane cylinders vertically to prevent leaks. Do not exceed the 12-cylinder capacity, and secure the door with a sturdy padlock. Position the cabinet outdoors or in a ventilated area, away from heat sources. Regularly verify that cylinders are stable and that the cabinet remains securely anchored.
