This navy blue Pioneer FR-Tech fire-retardant work shirt is designed for workers exposed to flame and arc-flash hazards. Arc 2 rated, it delivers a thermal protective performance (TPP) of 9 cal/cm2 and an ATPV value of 10 cal/cm2 (risk category CAT 2). A plain version without high-visibility striping, it is available in sizes small (S) to 4X-large (4XL), selectable from the drop-down menu above.
The shirt is made of 88 % premium cotton blended with 12 % high-tenacity nylon, a 7 oz FR-Tech fabric that combines strength, breathability and comfort for long wear. It is sewn with intrinsically flame-resistant aramid thread and fitted with non-conductive flame-resistant buttons, a build tailored to electrical environments.
This shirt brings together the features expected of a professional protective garment for hot work and electrical work:
Note on color: navy blue is a discreet color that hides soiling well, but it is not considered a high-visibility color. For a job that requires high visibility, choose the navy blue model with reflective striping (V131) or the fluorescent orange model (V130).
Job sites and sectors where this product is required
This fire-retardant shirt suits any job where an arc-flash risk assessment calls for an Arc 2 rated garment:
Careful maintenance preserves the garment's flame-resistant properties. Before washing, empty the pockets and close the buttons. Wash in warm water (maximum 104 F or 40 C) with like colors, using a mild liquid detergent (pH 10 or lower). Do not use detergent containing bleaching agents or animal fat, nor chlorine or hydrogen-peroxide-based bleach. Do not use fabric softener or dryer sheets, as they make the garment flammable. Shake the shirt as it comes out of the washer and hang to dry, or tumble dry on the cotton setting without exceeding 149 F (65 C). Inspect the garment before each use for cuts, burns or excessive wear.
This shirt complies with CGSB 155.20-2017 and NFPA 2112-2018, is UL certified, and also meets NFPA 70E and CSA Z462-15. It is Arc 2 rated with an ATPV value of 10 cal/cm2 and a thermal protective performance (TPP) of 9 cal/cm2.
No. Navy blue is a discreet color that hides soiling, and this model has no reflective striping. For high visibility, choose the striped version (V131) or the fluorescent orange model (V130).
The shirt is available in sizes small (S) to 4X-large (4XL), men's cut. Select your size from the drop-down menu at the top of the page. If in doubt between two sizes, choose the larger one to keep freedom of movement.
Wash in warm water (max 40 °C) with a mild detergent, without bleaching agents, chlorine bleach or softener (these make the fabric flammable). Hang to dry or tumble dry on the cotton setting. Inspect the garment before each use.
It already provides Arc 2 protection, but for full body coverage wear it with the matching fire-retardant piece: the set can then reach a higher protection level, depending on your site's arc-flash risk assessment.
To complete the outfit, pair this shirt with its matching Pioneer FR-Tech 7 oz cargo pants (V7764), protect your hands with Arc 2 flame-resistant neoprene-palm gloves (GS13FRNE) and, if you prefer a one-piece option, see the orange Arc 2 flame-resistant coverall (V1765). For a job that requires high visibility, choose the matching fluorescent orange version (V130).
Under "Accessories" at the bottom of the page, complete your equipment with the reflective-striped version of this shirt (V131), the matching orange cargo trousers (V7765), red DANGER barricade tape (ECT3RE9) and an electrocution danger sign (ECD400).
