Pioneer model 7764, navy blue, sold by unit
These navy blue Pioneer FR-Tech fire-retardant cargo work pants are designed for workers exposed to flame and arc-flash hazards. Arc 2 rated, they deliver a thermal protective performance (TPP) of 9 cal/cm2 and an ATPV value of 10 cal/cm2 (risk category CAT 2). Available in sizes 30 to 50, select your size from the drop-down menu above.
The pants are made of 88 % premium cotton blended with 12 % high-tenacity nylon, a 7 oz (240 g/m2) FR-Tech fabric that combines strength, breathability and comfort for long wear. They are sewn with intrinsically flame-resistant aramid thread and fitted with a flame-resistant brass zipper, a build tailored to electrical environments. Flame resistance is guaranteed for the life of the garment.
These pants bring together the features expected of a professional protective garment for hot work and electrical work:
Note on color: navy blue is a discreet color that hides soiling well, but it is not considered a high-visibility color. For a job that requires high visibility, choose a fluorescent orange or yellow model instead.
These fire-retardant pants suit any job where an arc-flash risk assessment calls for an Arc 2 rated garment:
Careful maintenance preserves the garment's flame-resistant properties. Before washing, empty the pockets and fasten the zipper and hook-and-loop closures. Wash in warm water (maximum 104 F or 40 C) with like colors, using a mild liquid detergent (pH of 10 or less). Do not use detergent containing bleaching agents or animal fat, nor chlorine or hydrogen-peroxide bleach. Do not use fabric softener or dryer sheets, as they make the garment flammable. Shake the pants as they come out of the washer and hang them to dry, or tumble dry on the cotton setting without exceeding 149 F (65 C). Cover the retroreflective tape before any ironing. Inspect the garment before each use for cuts, burns or excessive wear.
These pants comply with CGSB 155.20-2017 and NFPA 2112-2018, are UL listed, and also meet ASTM F1506-2020A, NFPA 70E and CSA Z462-22. They are Arc 2 rated with an ATPV value of 10 cal/cm2 and a thermal protective performance (TPP) of 9 cal/cm2.
No. Navy blue is a discreet color that hides soiling and carries retroreflective striping, but it is not considered a high-visibility color. For high visibility, choose a fluorescent orange or yellow model.
The pants come in sizes 30 to 50 in a men's cut. Select your size from the drop-down menu at the top of the page. If you are between two sizes, choose the larger one to keep freedom of movement.
To complete the outfit, pair these pants with their matching Pioneer FR-Tech 7 oz safety shirt (V131) and protect your hands with Arc 2 fire-retardant neoprene-palm gloves (GS13FRNE). If you prefer one-piece protection, see the orange Arc 2 fire-retardant coverall (V1765). Since the electrical work zone must always be delimited, mark it with red DANGER barricade tape (ECT3RE9) and a shock-hazard sign (ECD400). Under Accessories at the bottom of the page.
