Viking 6125O fluorescent yellow traffic vest, CSA class 2, 4 pockets, detachable
This traffic safety vest made of light, breathable polyester mesh provides high visibility compliant with the CSA Z96-15 standard, class 2 level 2. A detachable-in-emergency model, it is designed for workers exposed to road traffic and worksites. Made by Viking (manufacturer code 6125O), it is offered as an end-of-line item: only the 4 Extra-large size remains, adjustable from 4XL to 5XL.
Polyester mesh construction with 4 pockets and emergency detachable system
The vest has 4 pockets on the front and 2 straps to attach instruments, pens, etc. The back features an opening to pass the dorsal D-ring of a fall-arrest harness. The sides and shoulders have adjustable hook-and-loop (Velcro) bands that detach in an emergency; the front also closes with a vertical Velcro band. Made of 100% polyester in light, breathable mesh fabric.
Visibility of fluorescent yellow and reflective stripes bordered with orange
The retroreflective stripes are bordered with 25 mm (1 in) fluorescent orange for better contrast. Fluorescent yellow (lime green) is highly visible in daylight and in low natural-light conditions such as dawn and dusk, with high contrast against most backgrounds; being paler than orange, it remains clearly visible in the evening. The silver-grey retroreflective stripes return light toward its source (flashlight, headlights): they offer maximum safety at dawn, dusk and night, but do not increase visibility in broad daylight.
Usage restriction of the detachable traffic vest
Note: the Velcro bands could snag clothing, scarves or other accessories. For this reason, we do not recommend this vest if it is to be worn over delicate garments.
