Design:
It is made of 3.5 oz/vg² polyester mesh, it is orange in colour and high visibility.

The V486 vest also features a number of visibility and practicality features. It complies with CSA Z96-22 Class 2 Level 2 and ANSI 107-2020 Class 2 Type P and R standards, ensuring excellent visibility in low-light environments.  

It features StarTech® reflective tape, which reflects light in all directions. This orange vest features 50mm (2") silver Star Tech® retroreflective tape and alternating yellow fluorescent stripes. There are 2 vertical stripes at the front, 2 crossed X stripes at the back and a horizontal stripe at the waist. It has a front zip, a phone pocket, inside pockets, a strap and a radiotelephone clip. The vest can be detached in five separate places: at the sides, top and front for greater adaptability and comfort.

The 5-point detachable design makes removal quick and easy in emergency situations. A special feature is that one part of the zip is detachable. This model provides the comfort of a zip without compromising on the 5 breaking points.  It is therefore permitted on construction sites. It's often referred to as ‘Tear away’. 

Reflective stripes and visibility:

This orange vest features 50mm (2") silver Star Tech® retroreflective stripes and alternating fluorescent yellow stripes. 2 vertical stripes at the front, 2 crossed X stripes at the back and a horizontal stripe at the waist.

Fluorescent orange is highly visible during the day and in conditions with a lot of artificial light. In most situations, it also offers high contrast with the background. Fluorescent orange is less visible at night and in conditions of low natural or artificial light, for example at dawn or dusk.

Silver retroreflective strips are highly visible in low natural or artificial light conditions, because they reflect light back towards the source of the beam (torch, car headlights, etc.). They therefore offer the greatest safety at dawn, dusk and at night. However, they do not increase visibility during the day.

Care and durability :
Before washing, make sure to empty all garment pockets, close all zips, press studs and hook and loop fasteners. Turn garments inside out. Do not soak. Do not overload the washing machine and rinse stubborn stains before washing. Wash in lukewarm water with similar colours and do not exceed (104°F or 40°C). Wash heavily soiled garments separately. Use a mild liquid detergent (PH of 10 or less).
