The HLF Diversified Firestorm ice melter is made for extremely cold days: it remains effective down to -32 °C (-25 °F) on entrances, sidewalks, outdoor stairs and parking lots. It starts melting ice instantly, faster than most other ice melting products, and prevents refreezing even under the most challenging conditions. Its distinctive violet marker, which the manufacturer calls “Ultraviolet”, is easy to see: it helps you spread the right amount and reduce waste. It is sold in a 20 kg bag.
Snow removal contractors, building managers, industries, distribution centres and municipalities use it when the cold exceeds the capacity of salt and ordinary ice melters: loading docks, ramps, outdoor stairs, plant entrances and wind-exposed parking lots. For moderate temperatures, the Meltco Premium (MELTCO50) ice melter remains effective down to -25 °C.
