The HLF Diversified Natural Choice ice melter clears ice from entrances, sidewalks, outdoor stairs and parking lots down to -26 °C (-14.8 °F), much colder than ordinary salt. The manufacturer describes it as an eco-friendly, all-natural ice melter: an organic additive improves its performance and also acts as a corrosion inhibitor to reduce metal fatigue. Its green marker makes spreading visible, which helps you apply the right amount and limit the environmental impact. It is sold in a 20 kg bag.
Building managers, janitors, stores, schools and healthcare facilities use it on pedestrian accesses, ramps and outdoor stairs, where intense cold exceeds the effective range of salt. On milder days, down to -10 °C, the Sel Warwick ice melting salt (SEL20) remains an economical option.

For the janitor or worker who treats entrances and ramps, plan for Due North winter boot grips (VGET) to move safely on snow and ice, Showa Temres 282-02 polyurethane-coated nylon insulated gloves (G28202), 3M Solus grey anti-fog safety glasses (YAS1102) against snow glare, a Pioneer 6936 yellow detachable high-visibility vest (V6936) and a yellow high-visibility winter toque (V317). Complete the outfit with the Pioneer waterproof yellow and black winter bib overalls (V50412C) and the long-neck hard hat liner (V321).
To store and apply the ice melter, add the RMP heavy-duty 5.5 or 10 cu ft salt and sand bin (BRMP), the large 3 X 5 ft Zenith rubber outdoor mat (PIZEGD) to hold back snow at the entrance, the 24 in floor squeegee (SS524) to remove slush indoors, the ice melting salt (SEL20) for milder days and a 28 in traffic cone (EPTCONE28B) to isolate a slippery area.
