These hi-viz yellow elastic polyester arm bands slip around the arm in seconds thanks to their hook-and-loop closure, and fit almost any build in one size. Featuring a grey retroreflective stripe applied at the centre, they boost the wearer's visibility both in daylight and in low-light conditions. Features of the 5 x 30.5 cm yellow elastic arm band with reflective stripe

Use of the visibility arm band for evacuation officials, parades and demonstrations
This arm band does not comply with the requirements for Class 1 according to CSA, because of its small size. It can still be used to identify officials during the evacuation of a building, a parade or a demonstration.
Visibility of fluorescent yellow and the grey retroreflective stripe
Fluorescent yellow (also called neon yellow or lime green) is highly visible during daylight and in conditions of low natural light, for instance at dawn and dusk. In most situations, it also offers a high contrast with the background. Being lighter than orange, fluorescent yellow is more visible at night, though not as much as reflective stripes.
Grey (silver) retroreflective stripes are highly visible in low natural or artificial light conditions, because they reflect light back towards the source of the beam (flashlight, vehicle headlights, etc.). They are most effective at dawn, dusk and at night. However, they do not increase visibility during daylight.

FAQ about the SureWerx hi-viz yellow elastic arm band
Is this arm band compliant with CSA Z96 Class 1?
No. Because of its small size, it does not meet the Class 1 CSA requirements. It is used to identify officials (evacuation, parade, demonstration) rather than to ensure roadwork-site compliance.
What is the size and how is it worn?
One size: the elastic band measures 30.5 cm long by 5 cm wide and fastens with a hook-and-loop closure around the arm, over a garment.
How many arm bands do you get?
The product is sold by the pair (two arm bands).
Does the reflective stripe work in daylight?
The grey retroreflective stripe works mainly at dawn, dusk and at night. During the day, it is the fluorescent yellow colour that provides visibility.

Machine wash on the delicate cycle in cold or lukewarm water, mild detergent, no bleach or fabric softener, air dry, no ironing and no dry cleaning.
