Absorption capacity: 133 L (35 US gal)

This absorbent roll is designed for rapid response to oil, hydrocarbon, and oily chemical spills. Thanks to its hydrophobic material and long length of 150 feet, it effectively covers contaminated areas while preventing the spread of liquid. Its white color makes it immediately recognizable as an oil-specific absorbent, facilitating emergency management in industrial, maritime, and mechanical environments.
The roll is made of medium-weight non-woven polypropylene, reinforced by sonic welding, which gives it a waffle-like appearance. This structure increases its tensile strength and improves its absorption capacity. The sheets are perforated along their entire length, allowing the desired amount to be easily detached depending on the size of the spill. Its 30-inch width and long length make it an effective tool for covering large areas.
The absorbent material is completely hydrophobic, which means it repels water and absorbs only oily liquids and petroleum derivatives. This feature makes the roll ideal for wet or marine environments. Manufactured using a melt-blown process, polypropylene offers excellent absorption capacity, light weight for easy handling, and good tear resistance. The entire roll can absorb up to 133 liters (35 US gallons) of oil and hydrocarbons.
This roll is recommended for managing leaks of engine oil, petroleum derivatives, oily solvents, or industrial lubricants. It can be used in factories, mechanical workshops, garages, industrial warehouses, or port facilities. Thanks to its ability to float and repel water, it is also suitable for use in wet areas, maritime areas, or on wet floors. Its size allows it to quickly cover a large area to contain a spill or protect a hazardous area.
This roll should not be used when the nature of the spilled liquid is unknown. It is intended exclusively for oils and hydrocarbons. It is not suitable for corrosive or reactive products, or acidic or alkaline liquids. In addition, although it is hydrophobic, it should not be exposed to extreme temperatures that could damage the polypropylene fibers.
No maintenance is required as long as the roll remains dry and is stored in a cool place away from direct sunlight. Once saturated, the absorbent must be disposed of in accordance with applicable hazardous materials regulations. In Quebec, this includes the Environment Quality Act, the Hazardous Materials Regulation, and the Transportation of Hazardous Materials Regulation. It is recommended that contaminated materials be stored in an approved container prior to disposal.
An oil absorbent is hydrophobic: it repels water and absorbs only oils, greases, and hydrocarbons.
A universal absorbent absorbs almost all liquids (water, aqueous solutions, oils), but is not selective.
For oil spills, the specialized white roll is always the best choice, especially on wet ground or outdoors.
Yes. Thanks to its 30-inch width and 150-foot length, it can contain a large oil slick or protect an entire area. Its perforation also allows you to take only the amount needed for small jobs, making it versatile.
Yes. Its hydrophobic structure allows it to float while absorbing only the oil on the surface. This makes it ideal for docks, maritime areas, contaminated water basins, or outdoor operations in the rain.
If you regularly handle oils, fuels, lubricants, oily solvents, or mechanical equipment, this roll is essential. It is particularly suitable for garages, factories, warehouses, workshops, port facilities, and industrial sites.
For corrosive or unknown chemicals, it is better to opt for a chemical absorbent (yellow) or universal absorbent (gray).
Soiled absorbents become hazardous materials. They must be placed in an approved container before disposal. In Quebec, their management must comply with:
A generator of hazardous materials must keep a log and follow safe transportation procedures.
