The GL37185 long green Ansell nitrile gloves deliver latex-free chemical protection over an 18 in (45.7 cm) length, shielding the hand and a good part of the forearm when handling acids, caustics and greasy substances. Their 22 mils thickness and EN388 4102 rating provide solid mechanical resistance (abrasion 4/4, cut 1/5, tear 0/4, puncture 2/4), while the embossed diamond-pattern palm gives a firm grip on wet or dry objects. Unsupported and cotton flock-lined inside, they don and doff easily and suit demanding tasks where cuff length and chemical barrier matter. Sold in pairs and CFIA approved, they are versatile for chemistry, agri-food, refineries and the automotive industry. Ansell-Edmont manufacturer's code: 37-185.
These gloves are available in sizes ranging from medium (8) to double extra-large (11). Please select the size needed in the field located above. This glove is also approved for food handling by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA).
This glove meets EN388 standards as for protection against mechanical hazards. This level of protection is expressed by a pictogram followed by four numbers, in this case 4102, where the resistance to abrasion is 4/4, the cut resistance is 1/5, the tear resistance is 0/4 and the puncture resistance is 2/4. This glove is flock-lined inside, which eases donning and doffing, and in order for it to retain a certain grip quality without adhering to objects while handling them, most of the palmar surface of the glove has an embossed pattern to offer a good grip on wet or dry objects.
Nitrile is the best alternative to latex since it offers an excellent flexibility, a secure fit and unequalled toughness and comfort. Nitrile is in fact an elastomer synthetized by copolymerizing butadiene with acrylonitrile. This material is quite resistant to domestic products such as ammonia, fertilizers, pesticides, herbicides, paints, solvents, oils, greasy substances and hydrocarbons.
We recommend wearing cotton liners under these gloves to help absorb the moisture generated by perspiration (mens G217 and womens G218).
This glove is recommended for work requiring the use of chemical products, acids, caustics, greasy substances. It may also be used in agri-food and food processing industries, petroleum refineries, car industry, gardening, maintenance, aerospace industry, printing press, furniture manufacturing, electronics industry, etc. These gloves must be kept at a room temperature ranging from -4°C and 149°C (25°F and 300°F).
Nitrile lays down no special restrictions, since it has been designed to address mechanical, chemical and biological risks. It is just a matter of knowing which thickness is suitable for your type of application. The more the glove is thick, the more it offers mechanical and chemical resistance, but it is never flame-proof.
This glove may be reused, but we strongly recommend doing a periodic maintenance to avoid any contamination. To wash your gloves, wear them as if you were working and wash your hands with soap as you do normally. If need be, use bleach to remove stains or more tenacious agents. Please note that to ensure the quality of your product after wash, you must turn your gloves inside out to dry them completely.
It measures 18 in (45.7 cm), protecting the hand and a good part of the forearm during chemical work.
No. Nitrile is a latex-free alternative that resists acids, solvents, oils and hydrocarbons; however, it offers no protection against flames.
Wear a cotton liner under the glove (G217 for men, G218 for women) to absorb the moisture generated by perspiration.
To complete your chemical hand protection, also consider the green flock-lined nitrile gloves, 13 in and 11 mils for finer handling (GL9315), the Chemstop® black neoprene gloves, 30 mils for aggressive acids (GNE3030), and the yellow latex glove with blue neoprene coating, flock-lined, 12 in and 30 mils (GL1224).
Then round out your kit with the Ansell Industrial natural rubber latex glove, 17 mils thick, sold by the pair (GL4540), the natural yellow latex glove, textured and flock-lined, 12 in and 20 mils (GL9298), the Dexterity PVC-coated nylon knit glove (GS13BPVC), plus the bleached polycotton inspection liners to absorb moisture, mens model (G217) and womens model (G218).
