This tent is usually accompanied by a negative-pressure machine (air purifier) fitted with a HEPA filtration system. The type of machine depends on the volume of air to be filtered: for example, if a plenum is accessed by removing suspended ceiling tiles, the volume of the empty space must be added to that of the tent in order to select a negative-pressure machine that can provide the necessary airflow. The frame is made of aluminum and adjusts from 7 ft (2.1 m) to 10 ft (3 m) in height to fit most buildings. What's more, the frame is fitted with fasteners that prevent the canvas from sagging or lowering. The aluminum base has 5" diameter castors for easy transport.
The cube's canvas is made of a synthetic fabric that's stronger than vinyl and flame-retardant. All tension points are reinforced with thicker fabric. The tent opens on all sides and at the top for access to the walls and ceiling. The tent has detachable flaps on three sides, enabling it to be installed in a door frame, for example. It can be used as a buffer zone, an airlock, for the work area. These flaps can also be used to link several tents together to create a larger modular or multi-zone containment area. One side of the tent has a 12" (30 cm) diameter opening for connecting most negative pressure air pumps. On the same side, you'll also find a 3" (7.5 cm) diameter opening for electrical cables.
Quick installation: Unfold the aluminum frame and attach the fireproof fabric to create a watertight enclosure.
Equipment connection: Connect the cube to a negative pressure machine to ensure optimum air filtration.
Site adaptation: Adjust height and openings to facilitate access to walls and ceiling.
Securing the space: Check fixings and tension points to prevent sagging of the fabric.
Asbestos removal work: Carry out the work in complete safety, thanks to the cube-controlled environment.
This system maintains negative pressure, limiting the dispersion of hazardous particles. It can also be connected to other units to create a larger containment area.

After each use, it is essential to clean the containment cube fabric with a damp cloth and a suitable product to remove dust residues and contaminants. Fixings and tension points should also be inspected regularly to prevent sagging or structural deterioration. To preserve its durability, the cube should be folded and stored in a dry place, thus avoiding premature wear of the materials. Finally, it's crucial to check that the fabric is tightly fitted, and that no air leaks compromise the negative pressure required for effective decontamination.
With regular maintenance, this cube can last for many years, even under intensive use. Its flame-retardant, heavy-duty fabric offers greater durability than conventional materials, and its aluminum structure guarantees optimum robustness.
The use of a mobile containment cube for asbestos removal must comply with local safety standards and regulations. In Switzerland, asbestos removal work is governed by strict directives designed to protect workers and the environment.
Yes, this cube is designed for asbestos removal, but it can also be used for other decontamination operations, such as the removal of mold or toxic substances.
The choice of mobile containment cube depends on the surface area to be treated and the constraints of the worksite. Modular models are available to adapt the size to specific needs.
