This device allows distributing and maintain an adequate air flow while allowing easy access to the workers with the minimum of obstruction. The liner is collapsible and reshapes itself once the worker has descended into the manhole.

The MVP (Manhole Ventilation Passthru) is the first manhole system that combines a low-profile air vent, 90° elbow and integrated mounting plate into one system. The low-profile elbow installs under the bottom crossbar of the guardrail (EPTBB). Manhole cover fits into the flat fluted corners to stabilize it

The ducting is stored in a small storage bag built into the product. A quick release drawstring allows the conduit to be released from the manhole. Once the work is completed, it is easily stored.

This innovative product was developed by Allegro Industries and is protected by U.S. Patent D673.668.

Characteristics of the deflector:

• Made of linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE)
• This part is fully recyclable if needed.
• High visibility yellow colour.

Duct Characteristics:

• Made of polyester and vinyl coated with chlorinated polyvinyl chloride (PVC)
• Conduit is compressible and has steel reinforcement around the edge
• Material withstands temperatures up to 180˚F / 88.2˚C
• Meets the specifications of ASTM 227
• Meets the specifications of the UL 94V-0 flame resistance standard
