Allegro 12" diameter axial fan with molded polyethylene shell without ducting

12" / 30.4 cm diameter axial fan. This fan model can also be used as an inline booster blower. It has the particularity of being stackable. The flexible duct is not included with this product. You can add a 15- or 25-feet duct (see reference code RA9550-15 or RA9550-25). This fan, also known as a blower, can both extract (purge) or ventilate a confined space depending on the orientation chosen by the user.

This type of blower is used to ventilate confined spaces that do not have an explosion hazard. If this is the case, please refer to the following item RA9548-25EX.

In practice, the contaminated gases are extracted first, then a reading is taken with a gas detector equipped with a sampling pump (see DETEC4GC) and if everything is correct, the fan is reversed to push fresh air into the confined space. Because of the hazards of toxic vapours or particles in a confined space, be sure to equip your workers with gas detectors even if you have purged and ventilated the confined space.

The housing is made of lightweight polyethylene and is resistant to corrosion, UV light and most chemicals. This compact blower is super quiet according to the manufacturer. However, it recommends wearing hearing protection for people near the blower in its instruction manual. The blower has six polypropylene blades, a powdered steel grill and a carrying handle moulded into the blower. This fan is also equipped with a single-phase electric motor that meets UL/CSA C22.2 No.113 standards.

The bottom housing provides safe and convenient storage of electrical components. Both sides of the fan are equipped with connection rings to install the ductwork. This makes it easy to switch to exhaust or ventilation mode quickly depending on which side you choose.

Installation Tips:

The manufacturer recommends that the fan be installed more than 5 feet away from the hole entrance. To choose the safest location for you. Ensure the wind is flowing in the right direction.
